Ashlie Hanson

Substitute Instructor

Miss Ashlie started dancing when she was 3 years old at Black Hills Dance Centre in Spearfish, SD. She is starting her 14th year with Forest Grove Dance Arts and has loved being apart of this dance family. Miss Ashlie has trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and Irish. She was a teacher's assistant for 5 years and was a teacher in training for Hip Hop Jazz and Ballet for 2 years. Ashile has played many roles in the Nutcracker Ballet for BFG. She has been a Big Mouse, Puppet, Butterfly, Clara, Doll, Snow Princess, King Mouse, and Sugar Plum Fairy. She also enjoys being on the FGDA Competition Team which she has been on for 7 years. She has gone to many dance conventions like NYCDA and JUMP taking classes from famous Dancers/ Instructors such as Misha Gabriel, Wildabeast Adams, Mike Minery, Doug Caldwell, Nick Lazzarini, Kenny Wormald,Teddy Forance, Al Blackstone, Katy Spreadbury, Bobby Newberry, Mia Michaels, and Mandy Moore. Ashlie plans to stay involved with dance while she goes to P.C.C in hopes of getting her Business Associates to open up her own studio or Hair Salon. She says she found her love of dance through the inspiration from her dance instructors pushing her to be her best, teaching her to never give up and keep pushing 110%. She hopes she helps her students develop the same love for dance and wishes to teach her students the same perseverance as well.
